Sexual Rights Committee

Meeting of the members of the Sexual Rights Committee of WAS. The meeting is for discussing organisation and activities of the committee for the next term, and to provide updates about current sexual rights issues around the world.

At 13:30 there will be a round-table session open for everyone who have questions and interests in the committee and its activities, especially those who can provide input on ways to enhance the impact of the committee's work.

Sexuality Education Committee

Meeting of WAS members who have interests in sexuality education. The aim of the meeting is to discuss of networking and collaboration in sexuality education after WAS conference in Prague. It would be valuable to exchange experiences of difficulties to implement sexuality education programs in WAS member countries as well as to get to know of the latest positive examples in this sphere of activity. You are welcome to this meeting that is organized by WAS Sexuality Education Committee.

Developing Research on Sexualities at WAS

Since research is considered as an important activity for sexologists, the proposed session aims at developing a network of sexologists, sexual health professionals and academics interested in research. Participants to this session will share their research experience and their expectations in terms of research training, methodological support, topics to be studied and establishing networks for collaborative and comparative international research. One of the objective of the network could be to build a research agenda including an international project at the intersection of sexual health / human rights and seek for funding among European and global organizations.

Youth Initiative

World Sexual Health Day Committee

Time (30 minutes time frames): Wednesday, May 31, 11:00–11:30

Who can attend: Members and non-members, anyone who is interested in networking with others who have or want to organize an event for the WSHD, exchange ideas to make WSHD a bigger celebration, that includes academic events, advocacy (to involve politicians and governments), media events, social events and the possibility to raise money for WAS, promoting sexual health and rights through the celebration of the WSHD.
